Managing Your Registrations
Information about registrations can be found at the "Start page", http://start.rit.edu. You may view all of the network device registrations that are registered under your username by clicking on Your Computers. For each of your entries, you will be provided with the following information.
Hostname
This is the hostname of your computer. At RIT, computers are all given a hostname that is unique to the network. This hostname is for your computer, for both wired and wireless connections.
Label
This feature can be used to differentiate your registrations.
Name
This field specifies the name of the interface, this may be named wired or wireless, or anything to let you know which interface it is.
MAC
This field is the MAC address of the given interface. This is a unique number that specifies you on the RIT network.
Delete Interface
You can click on the red box to delete that interface from your computer.
Save
Save the changes of this entry to the system and have it be applied to your computer's registration.
Delete Computer
This button will delete your computer registration from the RIT network.
