Wall Jacks
With the exception of a few locations on campus, wall jacks for ethernet connections on campus are indicated by the color blue . The following images represent the different style jacks you will see on campus. Phone jacks on campus are the same size (RJ-45) as network jacks, so be sure you double-check the color.
Residence Hall Rooms
Residence Halls have a blue tag above the active network port (as shown below). The white port is ONLY for phone, do not plug network device into it, you will NOT get a network connection. Students in the Residnece Halls are only provided ONE active network jack per bed.
Colony Manor / Perkins Green / University Commons
In some UC apartments there may be a blue port on the bottom. If there is, use it.
